When can I register?

Registration opens early May for our seasonal classes and in late February/early March for summer camps, classes, & intensives. Be sure to check out Important Dates page to stay up to date! Stay tuned for our limited time discounts and bonuses!

What will I be charged?

Once your registration has been approved your credit/debit card will be charged the MEMBERSHIP fee:

·       $75/family

A $50 tuition deposit per dancer is due at the time of registration and will be applied towards May 2024’s tuition. Both are NON REFUNDABLE. 

 

When will tuition be charged?

Tuition is posted on the 25th of the proceeding month and charged on the 1st of each dancing month (September-May). A late fee of $15 will be charged to accounts who have not paid tuition by the 5th of the month.  A service fee of $5 will be charged to accounts whose credit cards are declined more than one time per year. If you would like to pay with cash or check, tuition must be paid by the 1st to avoid any charges to your credit/debit card on file.

 

When is the last day I can register or transfer to a different class?

Transfers close on January 15th of that season will no additional charges. Transfers after this date could result in a $15 costume shipping fee. The last day to register for a new class will be February 1st of the current season. 

 

Can I try a class for free?

We’d love for you to come and try a class with our studio! As long as there is space available we can schedule a trial class. You can click on the “Free Trial” button at the top of the page. Free trials open September 1st for our seasonal classes. Also mark you calendar for our free Try It Days!

 

Can I withdraw from a class?

We understand that schedules and interests can change. We encourage you to check out our schedule and try a different day/time or different style or teacher! To avoid being charged the monthly tuition we must receive a written request for withdrawal by email by the 15th of the month. Withdrawals will not be accepted after January 1st of the current season.

 

Why is the age cut off set on Sept. 1st?

Like the school system we have learned that dancers learn the best when they are grouped together with students at their same age level. It is also important (especially for our younger classes) that the class have a small age range. We have also learned that this helps all of our dancers have a successful recital. 

 

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Students are required to purchase their tights & shoes from DbD Studios. Leotards and more are available for purchase as well in our lobby or online. Gently used dance shoes, leotards, and accessories are available for a discounted price on our DbD Resell Page. More details for the required dress code and dance wear we offer for purchase can be found on our website, free app, and Facebook page.

 

Is there a recital?

YES! All students have the opportunity for TWO stage performances each season. All classes will perform in the DbD Christmas Festival at the New Braunfels Convention Center on the first Saturday of December. Costumes will be Christmas themed and provided by the dancer. Our big season finale will be held on the first week of June at The Tobin Center in San Antonio: June Recital Info. Costumes are included in your monthly tuition with no extra fees.

*Dance with Me classes do not perform in the June recital.

 

Is there a costume fee? Recital fee?

No! Our monthly tuition is ALL INCLUSIVE.

What extra costs are there outside of the tuition?

Extra costs include Christmas Festival tickets ($3-$10/person), June recital tickets ($20-$50/person), recital extras (tees, flowers, recital ads, etc.), and any extra performances you’d like to attend. The only extra costs are any extras you want to add!
